K&N Snorkel System for 2012-2016 Jeep Wrangler JK
Go further and keep your engine fed with a constant supply of cold air thanks to K&N
K&N Filters, the leader in filtration, is getting ready to unveil the newest product for the 2012-2016 Jeep Wrangler JK. The K&N 63-1573 AirCharger is a complete air induction system with snorkel for the 3.6L Pentastar engine. Designed with the end user in mind, the system was developed to work with other accessories already installed on the JK, such as an above windshield light bar. The snorkel is short enough to allow for the use of a light bar and has accommodations in the back of it for A-pillar light bar mounting bracket bolts.
This is more than just a snorkel though; it is a full intake system. A roto-molded air box and intake tube replace the factory units and help to feed all of that incoming cold air to the engine for an estimated increase of 6.6 hp and 9.4 lb-ft of torque. The kit includes the one-piece snorkel, air box with stamped lid, K&N high flow air filter, intake tube, and all the hardware for installation.
Speaking of installation, thanks to the extensive development invested into this system, there is no need to cut a hole in your fender to install this. Which means that you can remove it and return the vehicle to stock with no worries. The only piece that needs to be cut is an approximate 1/2-inch by 2-inch piece from the back side of the fender. Also, thanks to the modular design of the system, if the snorkel is not needed, it can be removed while the air box and intake tube remain in the vehicle.
The kit is currently in production and available for sale on K&NFilters.com or through one of K&N’s worldwide distributors.
